Being a self confessed foodie, there is nothing I love more than a good old food festival! So today my chummy’s and I popped down to Woking’s Food Festival (the last day is Sunday 3rd September 2017), the festival was much bigger and better than I had expected. In fact it was like a huge sensory overload (in a great way) and figuring out what to eat was a massive task in it’s self! There were so many wonderful food vendors to choose from.
We stumbled crossed the lovely RaviOllie (I loved the name straight away) they make speciality fresh homemade ravioli. I was super intrigued by their amazing selection of fillings that were on offer. You could choose from Beef Ragu , Pulled Pork & Caramelised onions ,Wild Mushroom & Blue Cheese and Spinach & Ricotta. Once you had selected your ravioli you could choose from a selection of olive oils, there was Sun Dried tomato & Basil, Rosemary, Chilli and Sage. I went for the Pulled Pork & Caramelised Onions with a Sage Olive Oil, parmesan, side salad and garlic bread. It was absolutely fabulous , such great flavours and the pasta was perfect! The staff at RaviOllie were really friendly and you could tell they are really passionate about their product. The proof was definitely in the pasta ;).
You can’t go to a food festival and just have a savoury food … well that’s my new rule anyway haha! So we went on the hunt for a tasty treat for dessert. Zoe’s Waffle On was the perfect place to stop off!
Zoe’s waffles were divine, you could choose from dark, milk and white chocolate. Then you could choose 3 toppings and a sauce. I decided to go for White Chocolate, Pistachio Nuts, Italian Amaretti Biscuit and Sprinkles!
If you see either of these companies at food festival definitely check them out as they were both delicious!
